World Distribution of Nonviolent, Nonwarring Cultures

The red dots on this map show the center of distribution of non-violent, non-warring cultures. Some cultures, such as Hutterites, are actually distributed widely but receive only one dot.

​In the southwest U. S. there are several of these nonviolent cultures, most notably the Hopi. In northern Europe the most familiar cultures to many American are the Norwegians and the Lapplanders (Saami).
